Prof. K.S. KANNAN
Prof. Kannan is a well known scholar of "Samskrit" and is an authority of this ancient language. He has taught "Samskrit" over 30 years and currently working as the Director of Karnataka Samskrit University. His ability to integrate the ancient and modern wisdom has made him an inspiring teacher to generations of knowledge seekers.
Prof. Kannan has authored a number of books/articles - on themes and issues in diverse fields such as - Philosophy, Great Indian Epics, Sanskrit Literature, Sanskrit Grammar, Lexicography, (Drama/Poetry/Champu) and Indian Medicine (Ayurveda) to name a few. He has an appreciation to the problems in Natural Language Processing and Machine Translation (part of Artificial Intelligence).
He has been invited as key note speaker in institutions of high repute like Indian Institute of Management, Indian Institute of World Culture, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts and many others.
Prof. Kannan also had the fortune of learning Sanskrit/vedanta from HH Rangapriya Swamiji and Panditaraja VS Ramachandra Shastri, amongst others. Prof. Kannan is disciple of Sriranga Mahaguru of Astanga Yoga Vijnana Mandiram, Mysore.
